Sedona has another role in the sequel book Phantom Image
Numerous rock formation photographs as seen in Eyes of Sedona exhibit human-like appearances. The star of Eyes of Sedona, a rock formation on Courthouse Butte, resembles a lady, who is called Sedona. She is over 300 feet high, with bone structures similar to that of a human. The image further displays five toes on each foot. Over time visitors to scenic Sedona have captured tens of millions of images of this formation, but until now no one has extracted that image of Sedona. She also assumes the role of Nefertari in the book Phantom Image available at Apple iBook.
The sequence (left to right) shows the original photograph and then the processed Phantom Image and the final product enhanced to highlight Sedona's features.
The image on the left was captured from a large flat rock. After processing its Phantom Image (right) yielded interesting details that are further highlighted in the book Phantom Image.
The Phantom Image concept expands the eye/mind visualization. Humans can’t extract certain images unless photos are subjected to a computer generated phase separation process. Rock formations in particular exhibit strong Phantom Image qualities due to their shape, color and the manner in which they reflect light. Additionally, because the human eye responds to certain colors more than others, some colors flood and overwhelm the retina receptors. Often information is discarded or hidden and forever lost. If you are interested in becoming a contributing anthropomorphic photographer to the Phantom Image web site www.phantomimage.com your pictures of rock formations need to be submitted. The formation images can be from any continent, take on any form and be of any color. (It’s recommended that before selecting photos for screening, the book Eyes of Sedona or Phantom Image is read to get an idea of the types of formations that yield valuable information.) Submitted photos will be processed and analyzed to determine whether or not they exhibit a meaningful Phantom Image that reflects an anthropomorphic scene that is profoundly human-like in nature. The first step is to submit your files so they can be scanned and analyzed. Any photo that meets the qualifications to be processed and published will post on the web site. The objective is to select a Phantom Image that meet the same standards as those used in the books Eyes of Sedona and Phantom Image. Every picture processed must meet those requirements and yield information for publication.
